  • Donald R. LeClair Memorial Leadership Award
    1. This award is presented to an individual in recognition of their outstanding leadership abilities. The award recognizes the leadership of the highest caliber of a member of the Order
    2. The recipient must be a member of the Knights of Columbus, whose contribution to the welfare of his fellowmen merits the award. Posthumous awards limited to two years after death.

Supreme Council Awards:   State Awards

  • Star District Award
    1. Achieve District Insurance Quota
    2. Achieve District Membership Quota
    3. Councils must not be suspended by Supreme Council for nonpayment of per capita, Catholic Advertising or supply charges.

  • Double Star Council Award
    1. Achieve Star Council Award Requirements
    2. Achieve double the membership quota.

  • Star Council Award
    1. Achieve Columbian Award Requirements
    2. Achieve Father McGivney Award Requirements
    3. Achieve Founder's Award Requirements
    4. Must not be suspended by Supreme Council for nonpayment of per capita, Catholic Advertising or supply charges.

  • Founder's (Insurance) Award
    1. Complete and return Program Personnel Report to Supreme by Aug. 1st.
    2. Achieve insurance quota (net plus 2.5% or 3 minimum).
    3. Achievement of insurance quota is automatically done at Supreme after July 1st.

  • Father McGivney (Membership) Award
    1. Complete and return Program Personnel Report to Supreme by Aug. 1st.
    2. Achieve membership quota (net plus 7% or 3 minimum).
    3. Must host or participate in at least four First Degree Ceremonies (DD reports on Form #450).This is a new requirement!
    4. Achievement of membership quota is automatically done at Supreme after July 1st.

  • Columbian (Service) Award
    1. Complete and return Program Personnel Report to Supreme by Aug. 1st.
    2. Must conduct and report at least four major involvement programs in the following activities: Church, Community, Council, Family, Pro-Life and Youth. The Columbian Award Application form must be received at Supreme by June 30th.
    3. Must file Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity Report at Supreme by Jan. 31st.

  • Food For Families - Special Council Incentive
    1. As part of the “Food for Families” initiative, councils can earn all four of the “community” programs required for the Columbian Award application by conducting a food drive. To qualify, the council (not individual members) must conduct the drive and include written documentation (including the date and location of the event, the number of council members involved, number of families who benefitted, and the amount of food collected) with the Columbian Award application (#SP-7).

  • Family of the Month Awards   State Participation  
    1. Be nominated by your council as the Family of the Month.
    2. The Family Director completes Form xxxx and submitts it to Supreme by the 15th of the next month.
